Supporting the church's digital and media operations through live production, audiovisual systems, websites and social media. Responsible for technical systems used during weekly services and other church activities.
Live Production
I help run the technical production of weekly church services, setting up and coordinating multi-camera livestreams using the YoloBox Ultra. The setup brings together cameras, audio and presentation systems into a live production workflow.
Because the system is used during live services, it requires preparation and real-time troubleshooting. The goal is to keep the production running smoothly while switching between the different video and presentation sources.
Live Production Workflow
A simplified view of the systems brought together during a church livestream.
1
Cameras
Multiple camera sources capture the service.
2
Audio
The church audio mixer provides the livestream audio feed.
3
YoloBox Ultra
Video and audio sources are brought together for live production and switching.
4
Livestream
The completed production is streamed for the online audience.
Audiovisual Systems
My work also includes the audiovisual setup used inside the church. This includes integrating the computer, projector, cameras and YoloBox and working with video signal routing such as HDMI and NDI.
Audio from the church's mixer is integrated into the livestream so that the online production receives the same service audio alongside the camera feeds.
Web & Social Media
Outside live services, I maintain the church and church-camp websites and support the church's online presence through social media.
This includes editing video content and publishing material from church activities so that the same technical role extends from live production into the church's broader digital presence.
